Meet Pastor Parthenia Caesar
“As I look back over my life and I think things over, I can truly say that I’ve been blessed, I got a testimony”, is the song that rings in Parthenia’s heart. It has always been said that you can be anything you want. A fire fighter, a ballerina, an attorney, a doctor, a physicist, “When you believe in yourself. When you work hard. For some, it all works out. Their dream comes true. It’s all about making the right connections. Her life has taken many sharp turns, but she believes she is right where she’s supposed to be.
Parthenia received a Bachelor’s in Business Management form Audrey Cohen College, Master of Business Administration (MBA Banking &Finance) from Dowling College, a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Urban Ministry NYACK-Alliance Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry (Community Leadership) from New York Theological Seminary. She has spent over 30 years in Banking and Finance.
After many years of questing and running from the call of God on her life, Gods love a patience touch her heart and steadied her feet. She was Ordained After taking many biblical classes. We make plans but God is the best of planners, she did not understand her desire for Christian Education, but she stood on this scripture “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5, 6).
Parthenia spent ten years under the tutelage of the late Bishop David B. Gates. She served in the capacity of Outreach ministry. After starting and being involved in several outreach ministries and many years of studying, the vision/dream she had was to help the formally incarcerated with a history of drug and alcohol abuse re-entry society. She formed an organization called “Beyond the Walls Mentoring Services” which is a reentry program. In addition to this organization, being a chaplain and pastoral counselor are a couple of her greatest passions. It’s strange how things work out. When starting the course work of CPE, the training site which she attended was so out of order. She saw a need and provided assistance in making the program better for those to follow behind. It was never the intention of becoming a CPE supervisor, but she did.
Parthenia is the founder of Long Island Clinical Supervision Training (LICST), a non-institutional Supervisory Training program for the purpose of training qualified CPET Supervisor’s in Training (SIT) seeking Diplomate Certification with College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy. The SIT training program has its foundation in distance learning methods, Internet resources, and the use of telecommunications tools for individual and group supervision.
It seeks to provide the highest level of supervision for individuals who by reason of distance, economic restraints, preferred learning method, or isolation from SIT training sites, are unable to attend an institutional based SIT training program or those who are involved in institutional training. In addition, she holds several leadership positions with the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy.
Parthenia is also in the final process of obtaining a NYS license in Psychoanalysis. She is a Psychoanalytic candidate at National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis (NPAP). In 2019 Parthenia received a Trail Blazer award from the Bishops Council and Chambers of Miracle Christian Center for her commitment to kingdom building and beyond.
